  SMALL ENGINE PARTS

Fitting the correct manufacturers approved part is an essential requirement if original performance specification and reliability is to be maintained. Lombardini, Lister ,Petter, Hatz, Yanmar, Deutz and Kubota parts are all available over the counter, exstock for customers who utilise their own in house service facilities. With Bryco, approved parts are always supplied. They are manufactured by quality assured sources and have been subjected to quality system requirements in accordance with BS5750/ISO 9001.

Our comprehensive stock of over 20000 small diesel engine parts including filters, pistons, bearings, starter motors, alternators, timing belts and overhaul gasket sets are housed in damage-proof racks and are available for next day delivery.

Orders received by 3.00 pm GMT are dispatched the same day by post or special carrier.

When repairing or servicing any engine only genuine diesel engine parts should be used, if you consider the many requirements placed on these parts you can soon see why.

Oil filters-Any lubricating oil used in a internal combustion engine inevitably becomes contaminated with corrosive particles such as carbon, varnishes formed from condensed crankcase vapours, metal particles from wearing surfaces and dust from the induction system. Oil filters prevent these harmful impurities from circulating around the engine. Oil filters should be changed in accordance with manufactures service schedules to prevent premature wear and engine failures.

Air filters-The prime function of an engine air filter is to provide an effective means of preventing particles of dust and grit from entering the engine. Air filters need to be changed in accordance with manufactures service schedules to maintain performance and prolong engine life. Blocked air filters will cause a engine to loose power, overheat and in extreme cases produce a dirty exhaust.

Fuel filters-Industrial diesel engines are generally of robust construction. Although it is a relatively simple engine to maintain and operate its sucessfull operation depends primarily on the absolute cleanliness of the fuel system, to ensure this all engines have fuel filters fitted as standard. Fuel filters need to be replaced in accordance with manufacture guidelines to prevent engine breakdowns and machine down time.

Overhaul joint sets- When rebuilding or repairing a engine only use genuine overhaul joints sets, non genuine overhaul joint sets are usually made from cheaper materials and often do not supply the full range of joints required to carry out the repair.

Timing belts-Today's modern high-speed industrial diesel engines are utilizing timing belts to drive the engine valve mechanism and fuel pumps. Timing belts can only be fitted once, a belt that has already been tensioned should never be re-tensioned or the belt may fail prematurely causing major engine damage. Deutz timing belts should be replaced every 3000Hrs or after five years. Lombardini timing belts should be changed every 4500Hrs or after five years.

Pistons-Pistons under go great stress as they constantly change direction and speed as they travel up and down the engine bore. During the power stroke a force in excess of 4000 pounds can be applied to the piston head, this happens up to 50 times a second when the engine is working at its full rated speed. To prevent engine failures only fit genuine pistons.

Bearings-Bearings are placed in an engine where ever there is a rotary motion between two engine parts so that the bearings wears and not the more expensive engine parts. Bearings are required to have many properties including good load carrying capacity, fatigue resistance, embeddability and corrosion resistance. Only genuine replacement bearings can achieve all these requirements.
